Stuiben Falls

Powerful nature, refreshing energy

With a drop of 159 metres, the Stuibenfall is not only Tyrol's highest waterfall, but also a true natural spectacle. Up to 2,000 litres of water plunge into the depths every second - an impressive spectacle of water, rock and light. Especially on hot days, the fine spray promises a refreshing cool-down.

Just a few minutes' drive from the Vivea Hotel Umhausen, the Stuiben Falls enchant with their thundering masses of water, floating water plumes and often a dazzling rainbow as the crowning highlight. A natural stone bridge and the lush alpine flora round off this unique natural wonder.

Umhausen Birds of Prey Park

Majestic hunters of the skies

Experience birds of prey up close

Golden eagles and buzzards, griffon vultures and falcons, kites, snowy owls and ravens are among the permanent residents of the Birds of Prey Park and never cease to amaze visitors during daily flight demonstrations - from May to October - when they soar over the heads of spectators at breathtaking speed or without making a sound.

The animals are kept under strict veterinary control and great importance is attached to nature and species conservation. The birds of prey can be viewed in the aviaries half an hour before and half an hour after the flight demonstrations.

PIBURGERSEE

Lake Piburger See, the landmark of Oetz, was formed by a landslide after the last ice age and is characterised by its idyllic location in the Ötztal Alps. With a water temperature of up to 24°C in summer, it is a popular destination for swimmers and hikers. A circular path leads through the forest, and there are sunbathing areas and rowing boat hire at the bathing complex.
